And Then There Were Three

Three kids are a lot of work. I am still very tired but am feeling a lot better than I felt when I was pregnant. The delivery was wonderful and little R was born healthy with 10 little fingers and toes. Miss Mae and Mac really love him and have been a great help. They are so helpful I feel lazy some days when I plant myself on the couch and I ask them to bring me things. We are enjoying our little one.

Are you ready for Christmas? I am getting there. I am trying to fit in a few more handmade gifts.
I have the type of personality that wishes I could give a handmade gift to anyone and everyone. So it's hard to make them just for the people I am supposed to in the family gift exchanges. It's too much fun.

If you are stumped on what to make here are some great homemade gift ideas:

Love these washcloth patterns from Ball Hank n' Skein

From Tidy Mom

Love this knot bracelet tutorial from Factory Direct Craft

Another note: Here are some things I have been up to lately (besides the 3 crazies!).

A post on these beauties to come!

This Mama is Nesting

That's right. I am finally feeling OK enough to start some of the projects that have been rolling around in my head. I feel like I am in super nesting mode and making up for lost time.
24 weeks and I am so proud to say that I have almost gained almost 15 pounds! This is a first.
To recap this week I have already I bought some twin bed frames to repaint for the kiddles and scored some awesome vintage fabric for something cute, some day. Oh, and I drove an good 1 1/2 hours away for a free dresser. Then I rethought that decision when I had to make the drive back without feeling in my tailbone. But hey, free is F-R-E-E! So tons of cuteness goin' down up in here but first, did I mention I am having a huge HOARDER SALE this Saturday?
So freaking awesome that I get butterflies thinking about it.
So come, it's the thing to do. Maybe I can make some mula to afford the stinkin' cute bedding for the kiddles and the new guy.

I am making this lovely duvet since it's only available in Australia and UK and super $300 expensive.
Love Mae (fitting since her middle name is Mae)

Something like this for the little man using same grey tones as the girly duvet. Pottery Barn Kids-Rugby is always good for boys.

And somewhere around this for the new guy. Gotta have planes.

Told you it's gettin' all cute up in here.
Hope your mid-week is just as stinkin' eventful.

4th of July Decor

If you have followed me on pinterest lately, you may have been annoyed by my recent pinning of 4th of July things. Truth is, the 4th of July is our family's favorite holiday. We never get enough of it. We love our country and we love to celebrate. With that said, every year I seem to forget something. So I thought I would start early this year. Here are some crafting, food, and clothing ideas.

1. I found this on Pinterest with no link. This may be the only thing that will keep me cool being pregnant this summer. Now to find a super cute striped shirt to add on to.
2. Chocolate.com has these amazing cake pops. Maybe you master desert makers can figure out how to make them.
3. A clever way to cut out watermelon with cookie cutters. Definitely going to try this year.
4. Star medallions from Maritha Stewart. Love the different prints.
5. Cute layered skirt tutorial from Dana Made It. Thinking this would be great for my 4-year old with red bike shorts underneath.
6. I am in love with this simple design from eighteen 25
7. So simple and cute, these tanks. Just cut off a flag and add a ruffle. From Creative Urges
8. Red white and blue pillow. I hope make my own and put it on my porch. You can buy this on etsy from Joshua by Oak
9. Any berry wreath makes me smile. I like how they added the Declaration of Independence in the middle. DIY at Lil' Luna
10. BHG always has great planting ideas. I want to try this and put it on my porch as well.
11. The Beauty Department has great ideas and tutorials and I love the stripes.
12. These buntings are so fun. Sugar Tot Designs does a great job with the tutorial.
13. I enjoy a good scarf. This will be great for fireworks when it's a tad chilly but not enough for a sweater. I can't wait to attempt to make this.
14. What are you getting ready to make?

Easy {Mother's Day} Crafting

Here are some ideas for great Mother's Day gifts without spending a lot of money. You can even get the kids involved. They will love it.
1. Almost every mom loves to read and I can't think of any woman who doesn't love a new kitchen towel. Wrap a book in a new towel. Voila! Studiopatro
2. Vintage inspired velvet bookmarks I think I need 10 for myself. Super easy and cheap to make. County Living
3. This may not be as easy but it is super cute. Batik towels. If you do not have Beeswax, try taking color out after you dye the towels using liquid dish soap. Use stamps or other objects to make a pattern (I will post on this later). Under the Sycamore
4. Moms always need more bags. It's a simple fact. These are super cute and really fun to make. Catch My Party
5. That Martha Stewart does it again. So simple yet so completely adorable! I want all my books to look like this. Stamp on the outside of the book.

It's {a boy}

Well, hubby is super excited (to say the least).
I was really hoping for another little girl.
Since the family is way outnumbered now with girls I guess it's OK that we can bring up the population of boys. We will have the only 2 grandsons out of 10 grand kids.

So here's the details and hopefully a photo soon.

How far along? 17 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 0 pounds

Maternity clothes? Sometimes. It depends on if I want to look pregnant. :)

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep: Not really. Don't wake me up or I won't go back to sleep.

Best moment this week: Finding out the gender. It's a boy!

Miss Anything? I miss my memory. I wish I could remember why.

Movement: I can feel real movement now. Especially kicking back at our last appointment.

Food cravings: Beef is all I crave. Once I finally have it, I can only have a few bites.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Most things.

Have you started to show yet: It looks like I have gained 10 pounds. I haven't really!

Gender: All Boy

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Sort of moody. I must admit.

Looking forward to: Sleep. Being about to do everything I want.

If you want to see what's on my mind for this little guy, head on over to my baby board on pinterest.

Can't we all just have a pair of Toms?

Making this. Too cute.

An Announcement and {spring fever}

I can't believe how long I have been MIA. I really have been thinking about projects to start and finnish. I simply do not have the energy. So here is the announcement. I am pregnant with my 3rd little one! It is exciting but I have been really sick. Here is a breakdown.

How far along? 15 weeks (15 1/2 but whose counting?)

Total weight gain/loss: -4 pounds

Maternity clothes? Only when I feel really bloated.

Stretch marks? No new ones(Come on, it's baby #3)

Sleep: Interrupted by runs to the bathroom.

Best moment this week: My 4 year old said, "Mommy your tummy is getting bigger!"

Miss Anything? Eating. I really wish I could just eat everything.

Movement: In the morning I can feel little flutters. I think I am a pro at recognizing them by now.

Food cravings: Don't even mention food or I will have to run to the bathroom.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Just about everything.

Have you started to show yet: Yes, now that I can actually feel my uterus and my dr confirmed it's not just bloating anymore!

Gender: 2 more weeks until we find out! Although I am thinking girl since I was sick with London Mae (not this sick) and not Maxwell.

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out? In all the way.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: It depends on the time of day really. Right after I take my medicine I feel great!

Looking forward to: Not being sick anymore. More energy.

Here are some things I have been thinking about for spring.

Cute number from Boden. Love their whole Maternity Line.

This beauty is from Lilac Maternity, who else?

Also from Lilac

Sweet dress from Old Navy. They don't sell it anymore. I was thinking what a great blessing dress!

These are some of the cutest bibs I have ever seen. Head on over to NaNa and see for yourself.

Babes to Grandmas on Etsy

Cassie's Closet no longer available.

Cute pic uploaded to Pinterest.

Since I could never make something as gorgeous as this, I love to look. From A Quilt is Nice.
